Angry Decent Items

anet needs to stop these decent weapons / armours being too easy to get . WoW for example has a level cap on some weapons / armour to make them only wearable for certain level .Guild wars needs to do the same thing , and actually make stuff alot harder to farm. but due to events every weekend and money sold on eBay these items are far too easy to get! Guild wars has an amazing PvP structure but not enough is put into PvE. as a result the market is now completely out of hand , greens and golds are far too common , that "Something perfect" is now something everyone has , and everyone has 15k armour ..so much for 15k armour being rewarding to get

THIS HAS GOT TO STOP!

One of the main points of GW is that these items are easy to get. The game is based on skill rather than who has the best eq. If you make perfect weapons hard to get you suddenly make it impossible for 90% of players to compete with those that have an advantage due to equipment.

And for the last time, this isnt WoW Nor does every MMORPG (Although GW is a CORPG) have to have the same things as WoW. A lot of people dont like WoW and look to other games, such as GW, to find aspects they do like.

Amen, GW =/= WoW
(However GW > WoW )

I agree that the equipment should be just as easy to get, not harder.
And since when was 15k armor rewarding? It has same stats as any max armor so its vanity not reward

exactly, 15k armour was always meant for those that were willing to spend that lil extra time grinding for vanity, nothing more...

Hell, i could have a full set of Charrhide armour on a Warrior and just have a 15k chest piece and no one but the pickiest nerd would notice it was full 15k

1. eBay gold is not meant to be sold. Is meant to be REPORTED.
2. This is not WoW, our level cap is 20, their is... who cares?

This is Guild Wars, most items are ment to be get somehow easily, so everyone can get anything.

You don't like it? We don't care, get used to it.

If you like WoW that much then go play WoW. GW is all about everyone having equal chances, not rewarding those who have unlimited ammounts of time to grind. If people want to simply buy some eBayed money and equip their lvl1 characters with greens and 15k then that's fine too. I would however like to see a decrease in grinding in exchange for the difficulty of aquiring the items, at least some of them.

dont look for stats.
look for skins.
is it that easy to find a perfect zodiac sword/axe/bow?
is it that easy to find a req 9 elemental sword?
etc etc.

One of the reasons I chose GW over WoW is that it appeals more strongly to the casual gamer. Getting maxed stat armor and "perfect" weapons is easy and most people quickly get the things they need early in the game. Getting PRETTY maxed armor complete with rare colors of dye and prized weapons like crystalline swords? Not necessary, and therefore harder.

You don't play better with FoW armor than you do with, say... collector pieces from Crystal Desert.

If I want to run my level 3 to Grotto and spend 100k+ on armor, then that's pretty much my business. I still have to pay for it and get the character there. It won't do me much more good than any other set of armor at that low of a level. It's basically a fashion show, which is all the different armor is now anyway.

Relax

Edited to add: Sorry your golds aren't worth as much as you'd like/you got scrubway'ed in Ascalon Arena/you saw a level 2 with the armor it took you 4 months to save for. Life is rough, wear a helmet.

I'm embarrassed to ask this, but I don't see anyone who could really enjoy this game enough to keep it making this kind of complaint. Are you trolling Torino Cowell?

Normally I leave Sanitarium threads alone, although I feel that this thread serves no purpose, and is simply trolling.
